I am a lover of Jesus Christ. I believe in the power of words. I find strength in love and I am driven by my purpose in life. I have two little boys who are my world. And, I blog about them too. I'd like to call myself a professional photographer (you can check out my website HERE) but the truth is, I just love to take pictures. This blog is my way of documenting it all and, hopefully, telling my story one photo at a time.

Finally picking up the My Life Monday post in the new year. And, since the shoots are coming far and few between in the colder months, family time is a major focus during this time. So, I've been spending a lot of my January frequenting Crate & Barrel with the sista, planning sleepovers with my goWageous God-daughter, trying not to let a date-night slip by without a little recognition and stepping up my scrabble game, and gearing up for Valentines Day sessions. Yipppeeee!!!!

How have your Mondays been going lately???

(NEW JERSEY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER: THE MOORES...)

1.16.12

I've photographed this goWageous momma a few times before and it's always such a joy. But, this time I got the chance to spend a little time with her and her two favorite men. She is a perfect example of the client that I dream of. She appreciates my work, comes back for more AND thinks enough of me to actually wanna be a friend of mine. LOVE!!!

They were troopers and braved the cold weather for me to catch these beautiful memories.

EnJoy...

this little guy was sooooooo handsome and made the need for me to step up my charm game all the more...

I couldn't get ONE smile and yet that face is STILL joyfully ADORABLE...

love this one...

thanks Kel, you always bring the sasS :)

Please forgive me... I am still catching up on sessions from the end of 2011!

Can't wait until our next session!

(HELLO NEW YEAR... )

Trying to run a business AND being a full-time mommy of two babies under 2 is HARD! Trying to balance your workload and maintain clear priorities can be so difficult when you have two adorable kiddos needing and wanting EVERYTHING from you. Until now, I'll admit it, I've been afraid of succeeding!

I know that sounds ridiculous but it's the truth.

I've been afraid of not being able to handle an immense amount of clients while still maintaining my signature service AND being an OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD mommy to my Kendy & Cam. But, what I am learning is that tolerating my fears only contaminates my faith. My faith in myself, my faith in God and the fact that it is his will that I reach out and "grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life that he has for me...".

I've heard this before, but this passage really rang true to me today...

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson

- Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?!?... who am I NOT to be?... I am a child of GOD!!!

- I was BORN to manifest the glory of God within me!!!

- As I am liberated from my own fear, my presence automatically liberates others!!!

So, GOODBYE FEAR! And, Hello New Year. There are about to be some major changes in Syreena B and Syreena B Photography in 2012.

p.s. And, to my new friend, Latasha of Latasha Haynes Photography, you will never know how your unspoken words permeated deep within my soul when you told me, "stop holding your business back...". Thank you for that. Thank you for offering up a caring piece of encouragement to someone you barely even know :)

What would YOU do if your weren't afraid!?!?
