THOUGHTS ON OPRAH, GOALS & MY MASTER CLASS...

OVERWHELMED!

Overwhelmed with inspiration is a state of being that I will always welcome with open arms. Maybe I should explain?! A few weeks ago I went to bed the most inspired that I'd been in years. My excitement was bubbling on the inside of me, an emotional state that I am sure everyone around me could pick up. INSPIRED. Which, by definition, meant that I was aroused, animated, and imbued with the spirit to DO SOMETHING as if by supernatural or divine influence and it was totally undeniable. I had just finished watching Oprah's Master Class on her new network OWN. And, I must say that those two hours most certainly will be journaled as a pivotal point in my life. AMAZED. Amazed with her journey, amazed by her insights, and amazed at her resolve. INSPIRED to do something! There were so many parts of the program that I just LOVED and got the tingles inside because of. There was so much and just know that I took notes (don't hate, I'm trying to elevate...just saying)! The nugget that I was left with that spoke the clearest to me was to be prepared for your opportunity.

I started thinking more and more about my own goals and exactly what they entailed... 

Become a better photographer- I want to tell stories, I want to take images that will tell beautiful visual stories of my life and others. My dream is to become so successful at doing so that I am able to travel the world with the kiddies and the hubs to tell the stories of people all over the world.

Tell my story- This is the reason I started my blogs. To always remember every step along the way and have a physical account of the ups and the downs. I want my blogging to be authentic. I most certainly censor my blog up to date. I want to work at becoming more and more authentic with my thoughts and my experiences along the way. Learning to tell the True Story of a girl, a mommy, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a child of God, on her journey to unwrap God's plan for her life and accomplish her dreams and her goals.

Launch my own children's clothing line- Another "Oprah moment" I watched Oprah's Interview with Ricky & Ralph Lauren and I'm obsessed with the idea that he built an empire by simply creating clothing that he wanted to wear, towels that he wanted to use based on the lifestyle that they wanted to live. LOVE IT!!!.

Write my first children's book- MAJOR goal for me. I want to be able to tell my children's stories through their own little animated characters. I ADORE being a mother and the love that I have for my children is so much more than I can put into words. I just want to leave behind as much as possible to let them know how much they mean to me. So excited to share my little ones with other little ones.

Become more involved at church- BIG deal to me. I want to be connected. I want to help. I want to use any gifts that God has given me to help my church family in every way possible.

So I am deciding to enroll in Oprah's Master Class, well kinda :). To intensively prepare for my opportunity. To be sharp. To spare myself of the disappointment that comes as a result of being ill-prepared. I want to unwrap my purpose and follow God's plan for my life. So, I thought I could start by reviewing Oprah's Master Class Lessons one by one and writing about my thoughts, my goals and my plans as I prepare for my opportunity!
